Sister Roots Farm is a growing vision rooted in community, simple living, and the belief that meaningful spaces can bring people together. What began as an idea for a small-town coffee shop and inn has grown into something much bigger—a journey of building a farm, sharing the process, and creating a place where hospitality, land, and community meet.
Our Roots and the Journey Ahead
Sister Roots Farm is deeply connected to family, sisterhood, and legacy.
We are three sisters, and this vision is being built with our sisterhood in mind. The farm represents more than a business—it represents the legacy we hope to create together and pass down to our children.
We come from a family with strong roots in farming, education, healthcare, and entrepreneurship. These traditions shaped how we see the world and inspire the way we are building Sister Roots Farm—bringing together the land, community, learning, and opportunity for future generations.
The original dream started with Country Cottage & Café—a cozy coffee shop and small inn imagined for my hometown of DeKalb, Mississippi.
The goal was simple: create a welcoming place where travelers could stay, students could study, and neighbors could gather.
As we worked toward that dream, we realized that the path forward would require a pivot. Instead of beginning with the coffee shop, the vision expanded into something that could grow from the ground up—literally.
That shift led to the creation of Sister Roots Farm, a place where we could start by working with the land while continuing to build toward the larger vision.
Sister Roots Farm is the foundation for a long-term vision that includes several connected pieces:

Right now we are in the early stages—planting seeds, learning lessons, and building the foundation for what Sister Roots Farm will become.
