Welcome to Sister Roots Farm: The Beginning of Our Journey
Every journey starts somewhere.
For us, the journey of Sister Roots Farm began with a simple idea: creating something meaningful that could serve our family, our community, and future generations.
What started as a dream for a small-town coffee shop and inn—Country Cottage & Café—slowly grew into something bigger. As we worked toward that vision, we realized that the dream didn’t have to begin with a building. Instead, it could start with the land.
That realization led to the beginning of Sister Roots Farm.
This farm represents more than a place where we grow vegetables, flowers, and fruit. It represents our roots, our family legacy, and the opportunity to build something lasting for our children and for the community around us.
I am the oldest of three sisters, and this vision is rooted in our sisterhood. Together, we come from a family with strong ties to farming, education, healthcare, and entrepreneurship. Sister Roots Farm allows us to bring those traditions together in a way that honors where we come from while building something new for the future.
Right now, we are in the early stages of this journey. We are learning how to grow food, experimenting with flowers, and slowly building the foundation for what Sister Roots Farm will become.
While the website is new, we have already been sharing parts of this journey on our YouTube and TikTok pages, where we document our gardening experiences, lessons learned, and the process of building the farm step by step. If you’ve been following along there, thank you for being part of the story from the beginning.
This blog will become another place where we share more of the journey—what we’re planting, what we’re learning, and the progress we make along the way.
As Sister Roots Farm grows, so will the vision that started it all. One day, we still hope to bring Country Cottage & Café to life as part of this larger dream—a place where hospitality, community, and the land come together.
